The Historic Old Administration Building, a National Landmark originally built in 1916, was the first permanent structure of the Fresno City College campus. The unreinforced masonry building had not been in use since 1975.
In 2002, a local bond was passed to rehabilitate and adapt the 110,000 SF building into an education facility with classroom and lab space for 2,000 students, a 660-seat performance and teaching auditorium, Department offices, and shared community spaces.
Wooden Window provided forensic review, cataloging, condition survey and documentation, restoration and weatherstripping for more than 700 windows and 200 doors on the project.Hear Kurt Schindler, of ELS Architecture, speaking about this project and his experience working with Wooden Window.
