March 2012 Community Networking Breakfast
As a kid, did you every have a treehouse, or just really want one. Well, architectural designer Mark Becker’s clients did — and they’re making it a reality. A 3500 s.f., three-structure residential compound perched in a massive, engineered steel tree.
At our March Community Networking Breakfast, in San
Francisco, Mark walked us through the extraordinary design, engineering and construction process for one of the most remarkable structures you’ll ever see. It all began when Mark and his client discovered a mutual love of Walt Disney’s “Swiss Family Robinson” movie, and the fantasy making something like the wonderful tree house from the film an architectural reality. At our Community Networking Breakfast, Wooden Window and its partners provide a venue for local architects and building professionals to meet, enjoy a compelling presentation by one of our industry peers, and join us for a tasty breakfast!
We look forward to seeing you at the next Community Networking Breakfast!
